Our veterinary services encompass routine care such as regular physical examinations, vaccinations, spay and neuter, dental disease care and prevention, and parasite control. In additional to wellness care, we also provide emergency care, critical care, and surgical care.
General Practice
Our general practice focuses on your cat’s overall health, and emphasizes regular wellness exams and preventive medicine, plus routine care such as spay or neuter, vaccinations, microchipping, and parasite control. We provide comprehensive in-house laboratory services, and also work with outside labs if more extensive labwork is necessary. Our in-house pharmacy stocks a wide range of veterinary drugs and alternative remedies.
Emergency and Critical Care
Our doctors have extensive training in emergency medicine, surgery, and intensive care for critically-ill pets. If your cat will need ongoing emergency care during the hours our hospital is closed, we will work with you to transfer your cat to a referral hospital to ensure that your cat’s continuing medical needs are managed in a professional and caring manner.
Surgical Care
We provide the highest-quality surgical treatment using advanced technologies and techniques. Patients are carefully screened prior to surgery, and anesthesia protocols are tailored specifically for each feline. During surgery, your cat is constantly monitored using EKG, blood pressure, respiratory, and heart monitoring equipment. After surgery, special emphasis is placed on pain management.
Diagnostics
Advanced diagnostic tools allow us to effectively assess your kitty’s health. Digital radiographs (x-rays) let us evaluate musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, urinary, and reproductive systems. Non-invasive ultrasound equipment lets us painlessly examine specific internal organs such as the heart, kidney, or liver.
Dentistry
Cats can experience major health problems related to their teeth, including dental tartar, gingivitis, infection, resorptive lesions, and stomatitis. To help keep your cat healthy, we provide advanced dentistry services, including digital dental x-rays, teeth cleaning and scaling, exodontics (extractions), and endodontics (root canals).
Specialty Referral Service
There are times when your cat may need specialized equipment, expertise, or treatment. Initial consultation with one of our veterinarians may include referral to one of our board-certified specialists. We work closely with specialists in all practice areas to ensure that your pet receives the very best care.
Pain Management
We believe that pain management is an important component of effective care. Pain management can improve quality of life for patients suffering from degenerative illnesses such as arthritis; those recovering from surgical or dental procedures; or those being treated for diseases such as cancer.
Behavioral Issues
We will work with you to develop creative ways to address issues such as spraying, biting, scratching furniture, litter box problems, and separation anxiety. We’ll first rule out an underlying medical condition. We’ll then recommend humane behavior modification techniques. In some cases, medications and alternative treatments may also be suggested.
Complementary and Alternative Treatment
We work closely with a veterinarian trained in complementary and alternative medicine; this provides treatment options that work in conjunction with Western veterinary care to enhance your cat’s health and wellness. Options include acupuncture, acupressure, Chinese herbs, nutraceuticals, vitamins, supplements, trace minerals, and flower essence therapy.
Feral Care
We have years of experience working with feral cats, as well as cats who are difficult to treat due to fear or aggression. We can provide complete medical care and treatment for these cats, in addition to spaying and neutering. Our doctors strive to examine and treat these felines without anesthesia, but when needed, we provide safe anesthetic protocols.
We accept all major credit cards, cash, checks, or debit cards, as well as CareCredit, a credit card used exclusively for healthcare services, including veterinary care. We also accept many types of pet insurance; please speak with us for additional information.
